YGAPC Chairman ... efforts are being made to normalise customs tariff across all sea ports

The Executive Chairman of YGAPC Mr. Mohammad Alawi Omazrabah has clarified in a statement that there are efforts to normalise customs tariff in all sea ports to help in activating shipping traffic and maritime trade and push the economic and development wheel in the Republic of Yemen, particularly the Port of Aden,

the main gate of Yemen towards the world, the Chairman of YGAPC noted the wise understanding of the leadership represented by Marshal Abdo Rabo Mansoor Hadi, the President of the Republic as well as the Government, represented by the Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Dhagr and the local authority represented by the Governor of Aden Brigade Aidroos Al-Zubaidi of the importance of concerted efforts towards the alleviation of the suffering of Yemeni citizens through strengthening and revitalizing trade and development movement, through reviewing and unifying the tariff for the benefit of the Yemeni citizen.

He added that there are instructions in accordance with the recent decision of the Economic Council of the city of Aden, about arranging an expanded meeting that brings together local, executive and military authorities for the governors of Aden, Lahij and Dalea to discuss ways of providing the proper environment for attracting local and foreign investment by imposing prestige of the state and its direct sponsorship for  stability of commercial and services activities in Aden and neighboring governorates for its impact on the rest of the governorates of the Republic and the reflections on economic and development situation.

On top of this meeting agenda will be the collection of fines and allowances imposed on lorries in the roads connecting between the governorates and its consequences on alienating and narrowing commercial and services activities.

The Executive Chairman of YGAPC expected  the issuance of decisions to address these problems in the next few days.
