The Governor of Aden First visit to Ma’alla Terminal

The Governor Aden Mr / Jaafar Mohammed Saad visited Ma’alla Terminal On 22/10/2015 and chaired a meeting with the leadership of YGAPC Where he stressed the importance of improving the Port of Aden

and the rehabilitation and development of its services and activities as it is considered the history, present and the future of the City of Aden and a great source of economic income to the nation. He added that uplifting the Port is the task of the Corporation’s staff. The Governor mentioned during the meeting that taking care of the resistance forces is a national necessity and a moral and humanitarian duty, stressing that the local authorities in the province should sponsor them and pay their entitlements. For his part, the Chairman of YGAPC , Mr. / Mohammed Alawi Omzarbah clarified that the Corporation is keen to pay the members of the resistance all their entitlements and added that more than 2,000 employees is currently working at the Port. The Governor of Aden inspected in his visit the progress of work at the Wharves and Yards Dept., he was briefed on the conditions of workers and listened to their concerns and directed to address all issues related to the workers to ensure the development of work at the Port. The Governor of Aden called everyone to take their responsibilities and work together in order to raise the pace of work, develop and improve the performance of services at the Port to regain its historical glory as one of the world's most important Ports
