In a press statement for the Executive Chairman of YGAPC Office on the Port Activity during the first third of 2016 in all its sectors and services, the high levels of performance and service were noted at all various sectors of the Port, especially Aden and Ma'alla Terminals,
where Aden Container Terminal received 45 container ships and handled 91,166 teus, while Ma'alla Terminal received 59 different vessels, handling 159,000 tons of different cargoes at Ma'alla wharves for the same period.
This comes at the same time of regaining the bunkering service by Supplying four ships, which has stopped due to the unjustified war on Aden.
It should be noted that the United Arab Shipping Company line has joined the list of Port and ACT customers by inaugurating its first calls with the arrival of "M/V Rain" ship to the Port of Aden on March 23, 2016 which berthed at Aden Container Terminal, followed by weekly calls to the Port , and the Indian line "PAN ASIA LOGISTICS", which began using the terminal in April 2016.
The Executive Chairman of YGAPC Office has expressed in his statement the port management appreciation for the positive role of all the staff and workers of the Port of Aden in all its sectors and different activities through the tireless quest to increase performance, productivity and improve services for attracting largest number of customers to the Port and contribute in stimulating trade and economic movement in the city
