The Port of Aden was honored to host His Excellency Mr. Suhel Ajaz Khan, Ambassador of India to Yemen, for a boat ride in Aden harbour today. During the visit, Ambassador Khan expressed his admiration for the size and natural protection of the port, recalling its former glory in the port and shipping industry.
Ambassador Khan expressed his eagerness to support the Aden Port Authority's efforts to regain its prominence in the industry. The Authority welcomes this offer and is eager to explore potential collaborations and initiatives that can help enhance the port's operations and increase its competitiveness.
"We are thrilled to have Ambassador Khan's support in assisting the Aden Port," said Abdulrab Al-Khulaqui, Deputy Executive Chairman of Yemen Gulf of Aden Ports Corporation. "In the current challenging situation in Yemen, we believe that with his assistance, we can achieve many tasks that have not been possible due to the current circumstances."
The Port of Aden is committed to improving its services and infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the shipping industry. The Corporation is working diligently to upgrade its facilities, improve its efficiency, and increase its capacity to handle larger vessels.
"With Ambassador Khan's support and the Indian government's backing, we are confident that we can overcome the challenges facing the port and restore its position as a major hub in the region," added Al-Khulaqui.
